These terms and conditions apply to all orders placed with British Bag, whether through our website, by email, by phone, or in person. By placing an order, you are agreeing to these terms.

1. Our products
All bags supplied by British Bag are made to order. Each order is produced specifically for you, to your agreed specification. We do not hold stock bags for resale.
Because every bag is custom manufactured from your artwork, orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun. Please read sections 5 and 8 carefully before placing your order.
We supply to businesses only. These terms are written for business-to-business transactions and do not confer consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
2. Quotes and pricing
All quotes are provided in writing and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
A quote is not a binding contract. A contract is formed when you confirm your order in writing and we confirm acceptance.
Quoted prices are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. VAT will be added at the applicable rate on your invoice.
Prices are based on the specification agreed at the time of quoting. If your specification changes after a quote has been issued — including changes to size, quantity, print colours, or paper weight — we reserve the right to requote.
We reserve the right to adjust pricing in the event of significant changes in material costs. We will notify you before any such adjustment takes effect on an existing order.
3. Placing an order
To place an order you will need to:
Confirm your bag specification in writing (style, size, quantity, print colours, handle type)
Provide your artwork or logo files, or confirm you are happy for us to prepare artwork on your behalf
Approve the digital proof we provide
Confirm your delivery address and any specific delivery requirements
Your order is confirmed, and a contract formed, when we send you written confirmation of your order following your proof approval.
We will not proceed to production without your written proof approval. Approving a proof confirms that you are satisfied with the design, layout, and specification shown. Once approved, any changes to the proof may result in additional charges and extended lead times.
4. Artwork and proofs
You are responsible for ensuring that any artwork, logos, or other materials you provide to us do not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party. By submitting artwork to us, you confirm that you have the right to use it and that its use in the production of your bags will not infringe any third-party rights.
We prepare a digital proof for every order before production begins. The proof is provided for your review and approval. It is your responsibility to check the proof carefully for accuracy — including spelling, colours, layout, dimensions, and any other details — before approving it.
We will make reasonable efforts to match colours to your specification. However, due to the nature of flexographic printing and variations between screen display and physical print, we cannot guarantee an exact match to colours as viewed on a monitor. Where colour accuracy is critical, please discuss this with us before placing your order and we will advise on the options available.
Once you have approved a proof in writing, British Bag accepts no liability for any errors or omissions in the approved artwork that result in the finished product not matching your expectations.
5. Minimum order quantities
Minimum order quantities (MOQs) vary by bag style and size. The applicable MOQ will be stated in your quote. We are unable to fulfil orders below the stated MOQ.
6. Lead times
Lead times quoted are working days from the date of your written proof approval. They are given in good faith but are estimates, not guarantees, unless we have confirmed a specific delivery date in writing.
We will inform you promptly if a lead time changes after your order has been confirmed. If a delay is likely to affect a deadline you have told us about, we will let you know as soon as possible.
British Bag accepts no liability for losses arising from delivery delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to supplier delays, logistics disruptions, or force majeure events.
7. Delivery
Delivery is to the address confirmed at the time of ordering. If you need to change your delivery address after an order has been placed, please contact us as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that changes can be accommodated once production is underway.
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Ownership of the goods passes to you on receipt of payment in full.
You are responsible for ensuring that someone is available to receive the delivery. If a delivery attempt fails and the goods are returned to us, re-delivery charges will apply.
Please inspect your order on delivery and notify us of any damage or discrepancy within 5 working days of receipt. We cannot accept claims for damage or shortfall notified after this period.
8. Cancellations and changes
Because all bags are made to order, cancellations are not possible once production has begun. If you wish to cancel an order, you must notify us in writing immediately. If production has not yet started, we will cancel your order at no charge. If production has started, you will be liable for costs incurred to that point, which we will confirm in writing.
Changes to an order after proof approval may not be possible, and where they are possible, may result in additional charges and revised lead times. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to make a change.
9. Payment
New customers: Payment in full is required at the point of proof approval. Production will not begin until payment has been received and cleared. This applies to all first orders with British Bag Co.
Established customers: Once you have placed two or more orders with us, the following terms apply by default: a deposit of 50% is due at the point of proof approval, with the remaining 50% due on delivery. Established customer status is confirmed by us in writing.
We reserve the right to revert to new customer payment terms at any time if invoices are not settled within the agreed terms.
Prices are as stated in your confirmed quote and are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. VAT will be added at the applicable rate on your invoice.
We accept payment by bank transfer / debit / credit card. Payment details will be provided with your order confirmation.
Where payment is not received in accordance with these terms, we reserve the right to suspend production or withhold delivery until the outstanding balance is cleared.
10. Quality and complaints
We take quality seriously and carry out checks before your order is despatched. If you believe your order does not conform to the agreed specification, please contact us within 5 working days of delivery with:

We will investigate promptly and, where a fault is confirmed to be our responsibility, will offer one of the following at our discretion: a reprint, a partial or full credit, or a refund. We will not offer a remedy where the issue arises from approved artwork, an approved proof, or damage caused after delivery.
We do not accept returns of custom manufactured goods except where they are confirmed to be faulty or not made to the agreed specification.
11. Liability
Our total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the value of that order.
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic losses arising from your use of our products or from any delay or failure in supply, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of business, or reputational damage.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Intellectual property
All artwork, designs, and print files prepared by British Bag on your behalf remain the property of British Bag until payment has been received in full. On receipt of full payment, any artwork we have prepared specifically for your order is yours to use in connection with that order.
We retain the right to store your artwork and specification files for the purposes of fulfilling future reorders. If you wish us to delete your files, contact us in writing and we will do so within 30 days.
We may wish to use images of your finished bags for our own marketing and portfolio purposes. We will always ask your permission before doing so.
13. Data protection
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at britishbag.uk/privacy-policy. By placing an order, you confirm that any personal data you provide to us may be used in accordance with that policy.
14. Governing law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you place your order is the version that applies to that order. We will update the date at the top of this page when changes are made.
